Scents Of Spring
There’s something about spring that makes me crave a new scent. It’s the season of fresh starts and blue skies (well, on a good day) – and the perfect time to switch up your fragrance wardrobe.
Now, I know what you’re thinking… “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” (Yes, Miranda Priestly lives rent-free in my head too.) But stay with me, these aren’t your average flower bombs. We’ve got beachy vibes, citrusy zings, creamy coconuts, and even one that smells like a swimming pool (in the chicest way possible). Whether you’re jetting off, dancing through a festival field, or just want to smell like a sunny day in a bottle, here are my current favourites to spritz this spring…
Jo Malone is one of the G.O.A.Ts when it comes to fragrance. This scent is a floral that’s taken a seaside stroll – think neroli, sea salt, tonka bean and a breath of fresh air. Delicate yet juicy due to the lime and mint undertones.
You know how I feel about Martin Margiela. Every scent truly tells a story. Beach Walk is the scent equivalent of golden skin, salt in your hair and SPF on your shoulders. Sun-soaked perfection with coconut, ylang-ylang and lemon.
Soft, breezy coconut with a twist of bergamot – you’ve got a spa day in a bottle. The heart notes contain watermelon, coconut and freesia which are just a combination of pure joy.
Radiant, creamy and utterly glam. Like hot sand underfoot and cocktails by the pool, with coconut, amber and a touch of floral heat. Like a lot of the fragrances I recommend, this is suitable for any gender. So watch this one in your bathroom, as your partner will steal it!
Solar musk, orange blossom and sunshine bottled. This is the scent of late afternoon light on your skin – glowy, warm, and totally golden hour. This eau de parfum is formulated with a unique orange flower molecule that uses a selective extracting process which results in a 100% natural ingredient. So your skin will love this too!
Does this really need an introduction? Cult for a reason. Bursting with zesty orange and Mediterranean joy. It’s what you’d wear on the Amalfi coast, or when you want to pretend, you’re on the Amalfi coast. (Same thing, right?)
Smouldering sandalwood meets a lime spritz. Unexpected but so addictive and sexy. This one lingers in the best way.
This fragrance will not leave my rotation this spring/summer. It is so crisp and cool – it smells like your favourite hotel pool. Chlorine chic with a fresh, green twist. One spritz and you’re poolside in Ibiza. Honestly, you’ve got to smell this one to believe how good it is.
Sparkly citrus that makes you want to dance in the sunshine. It’s got clementine, neroli and a soft floral whisper. Pure optimism in a bottle.
This one’s juuuuuicy with a capital J. Crisp apple and berries– it’s fruity but grown.
This one’s all about confidence. Think jasmine, monoi and ylang-ylang – it’s floral, but fierce. Basically, it’s giving main character energy.
An icon. It’s coconut, amber, vanilla… and straight-up spring vibes. You’ll smell like you’ve been dipped in warm sunshine. Honestly, this is the scent of holiday.
Cool, clean and effortlessly chic. It’s one of those scents that makes people say “you smell amazing” every single time. Musk, juniper, and just a touch of spice.
Ok, I couldn’t do my scents of spring without including our Velvet Smoke Baked Kiss candle. This is just the most delicious scent for your home – almond, soft rose, it’s a dream. Working out if I can feasibly turn this into a perfume…
So yes, florals for spring might not be groundbreaking, but these picks? They’re floral, fruity, fresh and totally fab.
