High-Maintenance Habits to Stay Low-Maintenance

I love a good beauty hack that saves time and effort in the long run. As much as I enjoy a lengthy self-care session, I am always on the go, so need a routine that doesn’t always take forever. However, I never want to sacrifice looking or feeling my best. Today I’m sharing my favourite hair, face and body high-maintenance beauty habits that will save you time while keeping you looking good all week.

HAIR:

Shampoo & Conditioner: Living Proof Restore Shampoo and Conditioner Bundle

I’ve always been obsessed with Living Proof’s Restore range. We may love the sun but our hair? Not so much! Heat + salt + chlorine = a recipe for dry hair. This range nourishes and thickens for long-lasting volume – saving you time in the salon in the future.

Need a bit of extra TLC? Girl, it’s time to add a hair mask into your routine! Gisou’s Honey Infused Hair Mask is viral for a reason. It’s full of moisturising ingredients which hydrate and replenish while improving elasticity and health. Also, the smell is unreal! Using this baby once weekly will help you wake up feeling like you’ve just been to the salon.

This is one of my all-time favourite tools. If I do this on a Sunday night, it typically lasts until Thursday or Friday (at a push!). It creates tight, defined curls quickly and easily. Be quick, there’s a deal to get 22% off at the moment – £124 instead of £159!

Want a heat-free alternative? Enter: overnight heatless curlers. Wake up with a bouncy blowout without the damage of heat styling. For best results, dampen hair slightly and set with a light hairspray. The result? Gorgeous curls that can last up to three days with minimal touch-ups. P.S. I promise you’ll get use to sleeping in them.

I recently did an entire post on how to care for your lashes so check this out for a full list of tips! Two words for staying low maintenance: dye & curl. A treatment worth every penny and enhances lashes for 6-8 weeks! Saves precious time in your morning routine and keeps you looking glam effortlessly.

You heard it here: The eyes are not the windows to the soul, the eyebrows are ;)There’s nothing like a fresh tint and wax. I always recommend going to see a brow expert but if you’re on a budget, DIY using Eyelure tint, remember to do a patch test before you commit!

I've tried a lot of different LED face masks, but this one truly stands out. The price is a big investment but consistent use of has really helped with fewer breakouts, brighter skin and overall glow. With 7 different light settings: Red reduces wrinkles, blue targets acne, green evens out skin tone and the additional colours help with collagen production, inflammation reduction and overall skin rejuvenation. Basically, think about the time and money saved spent on facials #girlmath.

A good manicure can instantly make you feel put together. You know that I’m obsessed with Michael (the G.O.A.T!) who does tiny works of art on my nails. So many of you have visited him at Spa Nails, Teddington. For those who aren’t close by but still want to achieve salon nails at home, my sister recently told me about Green Flash. She swears by this natural, eco-friendly, budget gel polish you can do at home in just 30 minutes!

I have been using Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Water for years. A foolproof way to tan – no streaks, stickiness or chance of ruining sheets. All you do is spritz your face/body and blend and within 4 – 6 hours your skin will radiate a dewy, sun-kissed glow. Super long lasting, for a glow that lasts all week.

Beauty and wellness start from within. Incorporating the right probiotics into your daily routine can make a world of difference in your overall look and feel. When my gut is happy – my skin is happy too! Remember you can use my code: LISAPD50 for 50% off.

These habits require time upfront, but the payoff is a simplified, low-maintenance routine that keeps you looking high-maintenance all weeklong. Investing in yourself is always worth it. As always, share your favourite tips with me!

Love,

Lisa xx

Disclaimer-I have worked with Living Proof, GHD and Symprove in the past but this is not a paid post.
