My 5 Faves Of The Month - January

We’re back babyyyyy! Can you believe we’re at the end of January already?! Honestly, I’m not complaining because January always feels like a tough (and long month). This was part of the reason we booked the holiday of a lifetime to Vietnam. Literally running away from the January blues. I can’t wait to share my holiday blog post with you but for now, here’s my list of 5 faves in home, fashion and beauty!

You might have seen on Instagram we have just received our INCREDIBLE new sofa. The fabric is original 1970’s so I’m absolutely terrified of the dogs scratching it. They’re so cute, hopping up and down to get comfy, but of course, I’d much prefer it if they didn’t tear this beautiful fabric! Ha! So, with all of that being said… this month I have been on the lookout for a beautiful blanket to compliment the fabric. I asked you on Instagram and you came out in FULL force to tell me about this incredible brand. After a short amount of deliberating, I caved and bought one. It’s stunning (and worth every penny), but now I’m worried about the dogs ruining that!! Talk about dilemmas when you have beautiful things – and beautiful pups.

Our spare room is getting an overhaul – because apparently, I just can’t leave things in the house alone… anyone else relate?! Luan, our builder, is building some epic wardrobes. To compliment this, I wanted a full-length mirror and came across this site. There are so many great styles at reasonable prices. I love the concrete versions too, so I may bag one of these babies.

I have been talking about Lick Paint for years for a reason. It’s just so good! Firstly, Luan says its his favourite paint ever to paint with. Secondly, I just love that the samples are stickers. It makes it super easy to move the sample around the room so that you can see the shade in different lights – without faffing around with getting paint everywhere. I think we’re going to go for Pink 07 in the spare room.

I seriously have a thing with stripey bedding. Piglet in Bed, apart from having possibly the best bedding brand name out there, also has the softest, cosiest bedding. Now if someone could tell me how many sets of stripey bedding is too much…

Guys, you know by now that it’s my belief that everything in your home should be beautiful, including your mini watering can. Enough said!

As you might remember from my resolutions for 2025 that I want to try and wear everything in my wardrobe this year. So, to actually achieve this goal, I’ve put my myself on a shopping ban until April! Yeppppp, you heard me right. Although I will caveat this by saying I have an ASOS voucher to spend, that doesn’t count right?! As well as wearing the amazing stuff in my wardrobes (expect some styling videos soon!). We’re also having work done in our home and everything costs SO much. With this being said, it doesn’t mean I can’t look… so let me live vicariously through you with my fashion faves for January.

Hyde & Hare | The Belmont Cowhide Belt

When searching for sheepskin sofa throws for our sofa (see above!). I came across these fab belts. A belt can really finish off an outfit, or create a bit of a statement, if it’s a feature piece like this.

Cos trousers are just sooo good, aren’t they?! I adore this bubblegum pink pair. They make me think of Spring days… although you can be certain that they would cheer you up whatever the weather.

I’m sorry but these might be the world’s cutest PJs EVER. Also, is it just me that would wear this top with a pair of blue jeans too. They’re giving Mary Poppins/sailor vibes in the best way possible.

Ok, I’m going for a classic here. Whenever I wear this jumper, you guys blow up my DM’s asking where it’s from. Well, I’m not about to gatekeep my fave neon number. I actually have this jumper in multiple colours. I just love the slouchy fit. It’s an investment but I’ve had mine for years and they’ve never bobbled or faded.

Another item that you guys have been loving of mine is this off the shoulder body suit. It’s so chic. I love the metal detail, and it pairs brilliantly with a pair of jeans, a skirt or a sleek pair of trousers. Get it whilst you can as it has already sold-out multiple times and who knows with ASOS when things will disappear forever!

Lis has spoken about “pinpoint concealing” FOREVER. This launch makes complete sense and is, quite frankly, genius. Take the pencil, apply it to any blemishes, redness, dark spots or pigmentation and “Voila!”. Watch it vanish. I can confirm that this is a makeup artists dream product.

As some who has loved the original Skin Nova since day one, I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. It is powered by 33 advanced ingredients (including 7 types of hyaluronic acid, peptides, and ceramides!) it truly leaves your skin looking and feeling healthy and glowy. The perfect makeup base.

This is such a great multi-tasking product. Medik 8 have put together a pot powered by three key ingredients: Vitamin C, Vitamin A and non-negotiable SPF. This gives you so much in one step. I am absolutely loving this in my rotation right now.

I can’t even explain how much I’ve been waiting for this one. This is an alcohol-free, fragrance-free, setting spray that is also waterproof. It locks in your make-up all day long. RiRi, go on and take a bowwwww!

These past few weeks it has been absolutely freezing outside in London. We all need to let ourselves dream of balmy summer days and let me tell you… you need these pastel shadows from Chanel. Sweep them over your lids for a chic wash of colour that will make your eyes pop. Instant summer glow.

So that’s my 5 faves for January wrapped up. I hope these bring you a bit of joy for this cold month… once step closer to spring guys! As always, please tag me in anything you try and give me inspiration for February with the things that you’ve been loving this month.

Love,

Lisa xx
