My 5 Faves Of The Month - February
February always feels like the month where we’re starting to get desperate for spring, but let’s be real – it’s lowkey still freezing, dark, and very much hibernation season. So, instead of fighting it, I’m embracing the cosiness. That means freshening up my home, adding some glow to my beauty routine, and (obvs) curating a wish list for when the shopping ban lifts. Here are my five faves this month in home, beauty and fashion!
I’m a longtime fan of Matilda Goad and regularly buy her pieces – they always make the perfect gifts. When it came to choosing handles for my new wardrobes, these wavy babies stood out. Because the new wardrobes are made up of lots of small wooden slats, I knew I didn’t want a straight handle as it would have looked too harsh. These flow perfectly – I can’t HANDLE how goods these are.
T and I like to pretend our spare room is a hotel – because why not?! Haaa! Now that we’ve renovated it, I wanted to go all out with bedding. Spending on bedsheets isn’t something that I ever feel guilty about because ultimately, the set is cheaper than a night or two in a fancy hotel… girl maths, right? These 100% French linen sheets from Bed Threads are just stunning. The colour combos are gorgeous (I went for pink clay and terracotta), and honestly, I feel like I may need some in our bedroom too. I mean how many times have you stayed in a hotel and thought “Oo I wish I could take those bedsheets home?!”. 😉
So, the story goes, I asked you all over on @LPDathome for dog-friendly rug recs, and Ruggable came up loads—mainly because they’re washable! When I mentioned this previously, some mixed reviews came in... some said they were too thin, but others said they’re stylish yet durable! Their PR team kindly reached out and offered to send me one, I was genuinely impressed. I picked a design by my friend Matthew Williamson (obsessed), and with the thickest base and pile, it feels just like a normal flat rug. But when the dogs inevitably get it mucky? Straight in the wash! And yes, I know I was lucky enough to get it for free, but trust me, if I didn’t love it, it wouldn’t go in my home.
Last month, I featured a fab concrete mirror that I thought would work in the spare room, but once the space started coming together, I realised it was too much. So, I decided to move the mirror from our bedroom into the spare room and picked up this beauty from Daals instead. The curved shape, the frameless vibe… plus, the delivery was super quick, always a win.
I adore Jo Malone, who doesn’t?! This limited-edition scent is divine. It’s not overpoweringly “rosey” thanks to the richness that comes through, thanks to the hint of coffee and amber. And the bottle? Possibly my favourite they’ve ever done. The perfect transition fragrance as we (eventually) head into spring.
Okay guys, I’m still on my shopping ban (SOS), and honestly, the only way I’m getting through it is by buying home stuff instead. Is that cheating? Oops. But obviously, I’m constantly browsing, so here’s what’s top of my wish list for when April 1st rolls around…
So, that’s a wrap on my February’s faves. Whether you’re staying cosy at home, need some refreshing on your beauty routine, or like me, you’re just mentally adding things to your shopping list…I hope you found some inspo. Now, bring on March and (hopefully) some sunshine! What are you loving this month? Let me know!
Love,
Lisa xx
