50 Faves Of The Year 2024!
As 2024 draws to a close, it’s time for my favourite tradition – rounding up the best of the best! Every month, I’ve shared my five faves in beauty, home, and fashion, but to celebrate the end of this year, I’ve continued my tradition of bringing you 50 FAVES in makeup and skincare.
This is the ultimate list, the best-of-the-best of everything I (and you!) have loved. So, let’s dive into my 50 faves that deserve all the applause as we wave goodbye to 2024 and look ahead to an incredible 2025. In no particular order but let’s begin with the brand of the year.
Picking the brand of the year is never easy, but you guys voted in your thousands. And the winner for 2024 is the incredible Lisa Eldridge. This made me doubly happy as I’m very lucky to call Lis a friend and have seen how much love and hard work has gone into her exceptional products. Most have been years in the making.
I’m so proud of all she has achieved in her remarkable career and she has now built a brand that reflects her approach to beauty – thoughtfully crafted, highly effective, and always chic. Congrats to the whole LE team. We can’t wait to see what 2025 brings.
And now on to the 50 faves, these are in no particular order, but obviously, we had to start with The House of Eldridge.
Lisa Eldridge, your brand of the year, strikes again with her newest launch, the Rouge Experience lipsticks. These were five years in the makeup as Lis wanted to make the most sustainable product she could. Inspired by vintage lipstick cases, this outer case is stunning! And the best bit? You can pop your favourite shades in and out as much as your heart desires. These are the kind of lipsticks that make you feel unstoppable.
This fragrance brand seems to have come out of no-where and I am thrilled. They create modern fine fragrances—mindfully formulated, responsibly sourced and meticulously crafted by world-class perfumers. Their fragrances are inspired by memories, moments, experiences and feelings. Missing Person is a bestseller thanks to its delicate yet addictive scent. It's like a hug from a bouquet of flowers, minus the allergy attack and antihistamines.
Elemis is such an iconic British brand, of course it had to be in the top 50. Although it was tough to pick a fave, this baby is one I repeat to purchase. I can’t even tell you how good this smells. It is, in fact, my favourite of all the Elemis scents. It transports you to a spa the minute you open it. The salt is also a wonderful, natural exfoliator for your skin. I’ve used this product for many years and will continue to do so for many more.
Rare Beauty has been a standout brand this year with a ton of amazing launches. It is def, IMO, one of the best celebrity brands on the market. And Selena has done it again with this blush/highlighter hybrid. Its buildable, soft pinch of colour adds an immediate healthy look to your skin. Just don’t drop it! The formula is very soft and bound to break if you do and no-one needs that kind of heartbreak.
Hi, I’m Lisa and I have an obsession with these lipsticks. The smell is so nostalgic to me. It reminds me of the early noughties. In fact, when I was having a sort out the other day, I found one of these in an old handbag. It was alongside a 2006 train ticket! So yep, its fair to say I’m happy they are back. Oh, and the texture and finish are just elite. It’s slick, chic, shiny and non-stick with an array of shades to pick from.
You guys know I’m a huge fan of Aromatherapy Associates. Their bath and shower oil could easily make it into my 5 Faves every single month. This Forest Therapy one of my favourite scents of theirs; it is so calming. It literally smells like you are lying in the middle of a forest. Just put a cap full into your hand, rub it onto your chest before you get in your bath or shower, and enjoy the soothing experience.
Cluster lashes are an absolute pro-kit essential. I highly recommend giving them a go to add a little flutter to your eyes. These by Sweed are some of my all-time favourites. They are super lightweight and easy to apply, giving a beautiful, natural finish to any look. I also love that the bone of the lash is really fine, so you can’t see the connection.
Charlotte’s eye palettes are always beautiful, but this is one that you will use time and time again as it’s so versatile. It’s full of the loveliest pink and gold shades with the perfect mix of mattes and shimmers. As always, the formulas are super blendable and buildable. And the packaging is just SO gorgeous.
Glossier broke the internet when they launched their original skin scent, You. So, the pressure was on when they announced they were bringing out two new fragrances,You Reve and You Doex. Well, we had nothing to worry about as they were both divine. Both have the lightness of the original, with Reve having the sweetness,
Summer is over, but your tan doesn’t need to be thanks to the legend that is James Reed. A celebrity tanner who has created this brilliant range. This whole collection is gorgeous, especially love the mist. Formulated with 88% Rosewater and DHA, so it hydrates, plumps, and tones the skin at a cellular level. Perfect for achieving a radiant, sun-kissed look.
NARS celebrated 30 years this year! Did you know they launched in 1994 with 12 lipsticks? For their anniversary, it made perfect sense to launch a new lipstick collection. As with all NARS products, you know that you’re getting great quality products. The pigment of these lipsticks is fantastic. It glides on and is long-lasting. I love the shade Bare it all.
Now I know he’s my pal, but he also makes blimin’ good hair products. This multi-use oil is brilliant, it also smells divine. The oil is a balanced blend of plant-based oils, this versatile formula works overtime as a scalp remedy, hair mask, split end-sealer and style finisher. He’s a clever one our Lazza.
You know how some eye masks are just a fad? Well, not these babies, these really work. They help to deliver vitamins and peptides to delicate under eyes, helping to improve the look of discolouration and fine lines. Ideal for those prone to dryness and dark circles, the hydrogel undereye patches seek to illuminate and plump skin’s appearance.
This is, without a doubt, one of my favourite foundations ever. I truly believe it’s worth every penny. The oil-free gel foundation offers an ultra-lightweight texture and buildable formula for adjustable coverage, while light-reflecting pigments leave you with a flawless-looking finish. It’s one of those products that I pray they never discontinue.
ELF has been one of my favourite brands to watch this year. Their marketing is exceptional. I mean, Jennifer Coolidge doing a dolphin impression! What’s not to love? Telling you about this mascara feels like I’m letting you in on a trade secret. I used this on the cast of Why Am I So Single? – the new musical that I’ve designed the makeup for. I love this as it’s tubing and, therefore, doesn’t transfer. It’s super easy to take off, which is essential after a night on stage when bed is calling.
Sculpted is another brand that’s had an exceptional year. From launching a stand-alone boutique in London to stocking the shelves of Selfridges. I am so proud of Aimee and her team. These blushes are my launch of the year from them. They are a stunning combination of pigment and glow. The shade range is great, and they perk up your collection instantly.
This is one of the most viral brands of the year thanks to its dramatic ‘reveal’. Basically, you apply it on the lips. It turns green (yes really), and you then peel it off to reveal a beautiful, long-lasting lip stain. You can then wear it alone or layer other lip products on top. It’s drink-proof and kiss-proof!
This had to make the list as, thanks to this baby, I now have shiny hair! Miracles happen. Living proof is a forever fave for us all, and not only do you see instant results with this mask, it’s also super quick. Just leave it on for five minutes after your shampoo and conditioner, then rinse and style. Disco ball hair in minutes!
I’m pretty sure I gave a little squeal when this arrived. The OG Hydra Grip is my all-time favourite primer. So, imagine getting a long-wear illuminating version that grips makeup for up to 12 hours and hydrates with hyaluronic acid for a soft, radiant, golden-hour glow. Yep, I’m very much here for it.
You might be seeing under lashes in a few places these days, but Lashify were the first and, in my opinion, the best. They’re delicate, lightweight and look natural. No more strip lashes flipping off at the corners (or being left in the bed and then Theo jumping up petrified thinking it’s a spider-true story).
Everyone that comes to my house and uses it can’t believe how damn good it is. I mean it should be for the price, right? But it does exceed expectations. The best thing about the newest technology from Dyson is, in my opinion, the added intelligence. A network of Nural™ sensors automatically adjusts airflow and temperature to enhance natural shine and protect scalp health. Genius.
This hair brand is pretty new on my radar, but I’ve been impressed from the moment I used it. I’ve included this serum as it has made such a difference to friends with fine hair. It’s clinically proven to reduce hair loss and shedding while visibly improving hair’s thickness and fullness and they’ve all told me its worked for them. P.S. they’ve just bought out a lash serum version too!
I am so happy this Australian brand now has a stand-alone boutique in London. Def pop in for a facial and an IV drip if you’re ever nearby. I’m a huge fan of their products and this serum is up there. It’s supercharged with an infusion of triple weight hyaluronic acid and this serum binds to moisture in the skin to provide long-lasting hydration. If you suffer from dry skin, this is a must!
Another Australian brand that I adore, UV, offers effective SPFs in brightly coloured bottles. I say that because I just love a brand with standout packaging, especially when the products really work. This is coming on holiday to Vietnam with me, that’s for sure.
I love Sam. What a genius. One of the greatest hairdressers in the world so obvs his products are fantastic. It was hard to pick a fave, but Sam taught me that if you put this product at the end of the hair when wet and then blow dry, your hair will look healthier instantly. Literally a happy ending.
My secret to glowing skin. This is my all-time fave vitamin C serum. Supercharged by a high-strength, highly stable vitamin C (called THD ascorbate), this plumping formula includes a concentrated burst of antioxidants which work to brighten and even tone by reducing dark spots, while soothing and firming the skin.
This is 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil. And guess what? It’s brimming with vitamins and antioxidants. It’s also rich in fatty acids (AKA omega 6 and omega 3) and vitamin A which targets signs of pigmentation while soothing skin at the same time. Yep, all in this one bottle at an affordable price.
Oh, she’s fancy but she works. Formulated with the brand’s TFC8, or Trigger Factor Complex, The Rich Cream nourishes the skin with key ingredients for healthy cell renewal. Rich in omega 6 fatty acids and antioxidants, this face cream features replenishing argan, avocado and evening primrose oils. Luxury at its finest.
And there we have it – our favourite products of the year, wrapped up in one fabulous list! From iconic classics to exciting new launches, it’s clear that this year’s beauty standouts have been all about performance, innovation, and a touch of luxury. Whether you’re a skincare aficionado, a makeup expert, or someone who just loves a good soak in the bath (hello, Soapsmith fans!), this list proves that the beauty world is full of gems worth celebrating.
It’s been such a joy to see which products you love and rely on—and to share my own excitement for these beauties. Here’s to another year of discovering, swatching, and pampering ourselves with products that truly make us feel like the best version of ourselves. I can’t wait to see what our incredible industry brings to use in 2025.
Love,
Lisa xx
