Your 50 Faves Of 2022

When I mentioned on Instagram Stories I would be doing an EPIC post on the very last day of 2022 (also hello, how did that happen!?) on 50 – yes FIFTY – faves as voted by YOU, I was inundated with over 6,000 votes. 6,000! I was completely blown-away! What made this even more amazing is that the products you voted for are my own faves as well. We obviously all have very good taste :)

As impressed as I was with all the votes, I was also slightly (I kid, VERY) overwhelmed by the choice. I had to fine-tune the list in order to showcase the very best of the best. One way in which I tried to do this was if there was more than one product in the top 50, I would pick the top one to allow for more brands.

The top three brands are based on the number of votes. To my absolute delight they are all female-owned. And 3 women I feel lucky enough to call my friends. They are:

 ·      Lisa Eldridge Make-Up, owned by the wonder woman herself. Not only is she a pro makeup artist, NY Times Bestselling author and Global Creative Director at Lancôme, Lisa has also created one of my favourite makeup ranges of all time.

 ·      Scultped by Aimee, owned by Aimee Connolly. Another amazing makeup artist who has created a collection that not only looks amazing, but it’s actually good for your skin. Double whammy.

 ·      Vieve, owned by Jamie Genevieve, who made an amazing transition from makeup artist to one of the biggest beauty content creators in the World. She created a brand that is nothing shy of revolutionary, empowering women everywhere by supercharging confidence levels.

Along with these titans, the line-up also consists of a bunch of small businesses and a number of beauty heavyweights. The votes have, once again, shown me how the industry has taken such an exciting turn.  People buy into people and great products, and the list below is a testament of just that. In no particular order, lets go!

La Roche-Posay Circaplast £13

I knew this multitasking baby would make an appearance. Cracked, chapped, chafed skin be gone! It’s non-greasy - because let’s be honest nobody likes that sort of ick – bit oh-so-hydrating. It’s also amazing after a day at the beach if you’ve accidentally caught too many rays. Not that you should because, ya know, SPF! But sometimes shit happens and when it does, LRP Circaplast has your back,

Armani Luminous Silk Foundation £40

I mean you know how I feel about this foundation. I’ve been using it for over 20 years for a reason. It really is a brilliant base. It gives you a healthy, luminous, even base without looking like a heavy foundation. It’s special and deserves its spot here.

Elemis Pro Collagen Balm £39

And here she is again. The icon seems to always pop up in your top product and I’m not surprised. This balm, which now comes in multiple gorgeous scents, works. It removes everything and leaves your skin feeling soft. What a beauty.

Mac Stack Mascara £22

New to the market this year, I’m glad this mascara has made it. And it seems that you guys are as impressed with it as I am. It gives you full, volumized lashes and really is buildable. A great edition to MAC’s line-up.

Hada Labo Super Hydrator £17.50

Awww this makes me happy as this product really works. It has four different sized hyaluronic acids in it meaning it can get deep into your skin. It’s also surprisingly affordable. There’s a reason why it’s the number one skincare brand in Japan.

Nars Light Reflecting Foundation £31

A really gorgeous foundation that smooths the appearance of skin whilst brightening. NARS are renowned for their bases and this one is no exception.

Got 2 B Brow Gel £5

Woohooooo yessss! I love that you guys love this as much as me. I mean was using the hair gel version, decanted into a little tube, for years in my pro kit before they brought this out. It is one of the only brow gels that actually holds mine up. I’ve even used it on the most famous brows in the biz and they didn’t budge. And it’s a bargain. What’s not to love?

Victoria Beckham Kajal Liners £22

The response for these liners was quite remarkable. And surprisingly, even though the black was popular, it was the new glitter shades that were most popular which makes me even happier. The formulation is outstanding. They blend like a dream and stay put and every shade suits every skin tone. Just brilliant.

Lancome Lash Idole Mascara £24

This is in my top 10 mascaras this year, and you guys obvs agree. A great mascara to add lift and separation. Brilliant for all lash types but especially if you have fine lashes.

Ultra Violette SPF Lip Balm £11.20

This has to be the most spoken about SPF brand of 2022 right?! And good for them because every product is dreamy. Lightweight with a high SPF spectrum that really works. And there’s no chalkiness to any of the products. The balm has come out on top and it is one of those products that I will forever take on holiday for me. An SPF 50 balm that looks cool is always going to be a winner for me.

Lisa Eldridge Strawberry Shock Lipstick £26

I had to recount the votes for Lisa’s products multiple times to work out which one came out on top as there were SO MANY VOTES! It was mainly between the lipsticks and the new eyeshadow palettes and I can’t tell you much joy this brings me. Lisa is truly as wonderful as her products. There is a reason why she is in your top 3 brands of the year. I’m so excited to see what is next for brand Lis.

Living Proof Triple Bond Complex £42

Turns out you love soft, healthy hair as much as I do! Of course the icon that is the Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo came in a close second, but the new Bond complex pipped it to the post. It really is an incredibly innovative product that does wonders to your hair, making it eight times stronger. Who wouldn’t want that?

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream £24.65

The icons will always find a spot in the top, hey? And Eight Hour Cream really is an icon. A multi-use saviour that works its magic on dry lips, skin, burns and brows to name a few spots. It’s a constant in every handbag I own. And there are a few :)

Sculpted by Aimee Tint and Glow £23

Soooo one of the most common answers in the votes was ‘anything by Scultped’. How wonderful that a female-owned small business has such a cult following. What a year it’s been for Aimee and her team. That girl is a grafter and I have huge admiration for that. She has also created the most brilliant products that are easy to use. The Tint and Glow came out on top as your fave. I’m not surprised. It leaves your skin looking like the best version of itself.

Vieve Skin Dew £19

Yes guys! Another brilliant choice. This was followed closely behind by the Lip Dew, which is also fab. I love Skin Dew because you can mix it seamlessly with other products or wear it alone. Vieve has really grown this year with the incredible Jamie at the helm. The products are excellent.

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA £34

D’ya know, I hadn’t tried this product until this year, but the hype is real. You guys have been raving on about it for years and I’m not surprised. It is a top tier exfoliator that leaves your skins feeling brand new and looking glowy.

Chanel Healthy Glow Bronzer £38.70

Even with cream bronzers being launched left, right and centre this year, you have still made the OG come out on top. A little bit of luxury in your makeup bag that warms up your complexion like the perfect dash of holiday sun.

Medik8 Crystal Retinal £49

This brand is going from strength to strength and I’m not a bit surprised. I’ve championed them since their beginning and am proud to have because they have so many incredible products that have come from years of research. I’m lucky enough to have been to their labs, which are mainly run by women FYI, and it is fascinating. This product has always been one of their heroes. The retinal coming in different strengths meaning you can use them whether you have been using it for years or never before.

Skin Rocks Retinoid 2 £75

Caroline’s first ever product launch was always going to be mega. So even though it’s literally been out for weeks, I’m not surprised it features heavily in your votes. I myself have a small obsession with Retinoid 2. After using it consistently, my skin, which at first became flaky and dry, showing how much I needed this product In my life, as that is a sign of dead skin cells leaving, is now glowing and healthy look. Can’t wait to see what C brings out next.

Weleda Skin Food £13.50

Oh. My. Goodness. How can anyone survive winter without this? This stuff is absolutely amazing for dry skin. Face, hands, elbows… name it, it does the job. It is super rich without being greasy. A well-deserved fave.

Murad Vitamin C Serum £74

Murad is such a brilliant brand and many products featured, but none as prominently as this serum. This is so great brightening the skin and for minamising the appearance of dark spots. The gold-stabilised Vitamin C formulation is one of the best on the market.

Bobbi Brown Skin Concealer Stick £22.10

Oh, I’m so happy this features as it really is an impressive concealer. I love that its in a stick form as that makes application really easy. It blends like a dream and brightens. On top of that, the creasing under the eye is minimal. LOVE.

Rose Inc Skin Tint £36

I am so impressed by everything this brand has to offer. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has done a fantastic job and taken all her years of model experience, including getting her makeup done daily, into the brand. Its accessible and wearable and the skin tint is a really winner. It evens and brightens the skin without adding much weight at all. It’s perfect if you like a light, healthy looking base, which, it seems, a lot of you do.

Soapsmith Bath Milk £30

YESSSSSS! Sooooo happy my all time fave bath product is included in the top 50. If you don’t know, Soapsmith is a small, London based business inspired by the founder Sam’s memories of London. The scents are stunning and they leave your skin feeling so soft. My forever fave scent is Bloomsbury, I mean who doesn’t want their bathroom smelling of roses and peonys? But, TBH, you can’t go wrong with any of the scents. All are stunning.

Charlotte Tilbuty Hollywood Flawless Filter £36

Well, this is, without doubt one of Charlotte’s most loved products. Theres nothing else like it on the market. It evens out the skin and adds an incredible soft filter glow. It leaves you looking healthy instantly and sits beautifully under any foundation. If you’ve not tried it, you must.

Seoulista Cryo Tool £25

This handy lil tool was created by dermatologists to depuff and soothes any irritation. What’s even more genius is that it stays icy even when it’s stored at room temperature. Brilliant.

OTO Sleep Drops £69

These are the only CBD drops that have ever worked for me, and I’ve tried a lot. The response I had when I first posted about these was quite remarkable. Turns out a lot of you had tried and loved this via the Liberty beauty drop box. For me, they just seem to help me sleep better and don’t leave me feeling lethargic. I now have my evening routine down. I swear by these drops combined with my Wild Nutrition supplements and my Bed of Nails acupuncture mat.

YSL Lash Clash £29

Ooooo I love a good mascara, and it turns out you guys do too. I was soooo gutted when YSL discontinued their original Lash Effects formula and hadn’t found the new formula to be as effective. However, Lash Clash changed this for me. A completely different type of mascara to any of the others from the YSL collection. This one gives a full on, jet black volumized lash and holds the volume all day. Brilliant.

Oskia Bedtime Beauty Boost £93

This regenerative night cream is a game-changer. Want to wake up with dewy skin? Check! Want to deeply nourish your skin overnight? Check! This moisturiser is packed with ingredients that are proven to refine skin texture and repair tissue. A well-deserved spot on this list.

Face Gym Weighted Tension Release Ball £25

Another face tool as voted by you guys. This one is specifically designed to relieve tension, improve muscle tone and stimulate circulation. An actual workout for your face!

Laura Mercier Translucent Powder £34

Awww another icon. This powder sets you makeup, takes away excess shine and feels as light as a feather. It’s a best seller for a reason.

Ren Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm £45

This is like a big hug for dry, sensitive skin. During winter, this is a must for any bedtime routine. This balm will leave your skin hydrated and super soft when you wake up. Take my money.

Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm £39.50

I love Danessa and everything about her brand. I’ve been lucky enough to work with her in the past and she really is remarkable. Fun fact, she created the Benefit Brow collection! Mega. This Blurring Balm does exactly what it says on the tin. I’m not usually one for powder foundations, but this one is special. It leaves you with an airbrushed complexion but is so easy to use.

Fresh Soy Cleanser £13

Yes, yes! I adore this cleanser. For me, it’s the perfect second cleanse. I tend to use an oil balm for the first cleanse to remove makeup. This gel cleanser is perfect for removing any other impurities and for leaving the skin feeling nourished and soft without leaving behind any residue. Love.

Rare Beauty Liquid Blush £19

Interestingly, since you guys voted for this blush, it’s had a viral moment on Tiktok. I’m actually super impressed with the entire Rare Beauty collection and these liquid blushers are no exception. You seriously only need the tiniest bit, and I like to blend out with a stippled brush. It blends more like a cream and lasts for hours.

Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Shower and Bath Oil £50

This makes me happy because this is one of my favourite self-care products. I haven’t found an AA product that I don’t love. Each is a blend of pure essential oils that do want their name suggests. The Deep Relax is the perfect evening bath or shower oil. Support Breath was amazing when I recently had the flu. With the oils, remember to rub a capful on your chest before you get into the bath or shower. Then let it work its magic.

Sali Hughes Makeup Meltdown Cleansing Balm £15

This addition to the top 50 list makes me happy. Sali is one of the most respected beauty journalists in the UK and her skincare launch this year was long-awaited. Not only is it fantastic, it is super affordable too. I’m not surprised that this is the product that made the list, although the Vitamin C was close behind. Sali calls this balm ‘the jeans and white t-shirt of the collection’, and that really is the perfect summary.

Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Serum £60

This award-winning serum is another sprinkle of magic created by super-brand Shiseido. The skin-strengthening serum is brilliant; it gives that radiant glow and smoothness specifically formulated by their dream team of in-house dermatologists.

Bodyograohy Glitter Pigments £22

Yessssss these are absolutely one of my fave glitter pigments out there. They have such a high shine but can be warm alone as a wash of colour, or as an eyeshadow topper to elevate any look. The shade range is fab meaning that if you prefer neutral shades, they’ve got you, but if you want a dramatic, bright shade, there’s that too.

Milk Lip and Cheek £19

This is honestly the stuff dreams are made of. It’s a delightful two-in-one cream blush and lip tint that contains hydrating ingredients for that luminous glow. It builds and blends beautifully. A must for any makeup bag.

Summer Fridays Butter Balm £21

I am always on the hunt for a great lip balm, and this is definitely a fave so I’m glad it’s one of yours too. Its hydrating and glossy without being sticky, and, unlike a lot of balms, stays on the lips for hours. If you suffer from dry lips this is a must. It also smells delicious.

Urban Decay Setting Spray £27

No matter how many setting sprays come out, you guys always seem to go back to the OG. I’m not surprised considering its sticking power. It really does lock in your makeup. Perfect for a night out. It’s also a great spray to use to bring out the pigment in any product. Just spray a bit on your brush before u use your desired powder product. It’s particularly amazing with powder shadows and highlighters.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Serum £54.40

I have adored Estee Lauder since forever. I mean, it’s just such an iconic brand. Their Advanced Night Serum is one of my all-time faves.  A little goes a long way and my skin feels instantly hydrated. It also works brilliantly under makeup. It has an iconic status for a reason.

Maison Francis Kurkjan Baccarat Rouge £215

Oh hellloooooo you little beauty. My fragrance of 2022, and yours! It’s the fragrance you’ll never regret buying. It reminds me of sitting around an outdoor log fire in Palm Springs, whilst eating the freshest strawberries. Divine.

Hourglass Caution Extreme Mascara £29

Just the best mascara! This absolutely guarantees amazing long, thick, curled lashes. Zero flaking, smudging, clumping or running. It’s a must on a long day – or night.

Cerave SA Smoothing Cleanser £12

This non-drying, gentle cleanser is a must for dry or rough skin. It’s super foamy and exfoliates like a dream. It really does work and leaves skin feeling oh-so-soft. Great price-point too. What’s not to love?

GHD Thin Curve Wand £139

I am in love with this. It really does take just three seconds holding the hair wrapped around the wand before releasing. You can create tight ringlets – my current fave – or lovely angelic waves and it lasts for hours on end, even without hairspray. The best thing is that the curls get better over time, so I can have ringlets on a Monday and by Wednesday, the wave is at its finest.

Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops £21.95

The easiest tanning drops in the land. You literally just put a few drops into your moisturiser at night and wake up with a gorgeous glow. I love the whole IOP ethos, the brand is really about embracing who you are and having fun with it.

Curel Face Mist £19.50

It was you guys that told me about this face mist and now I love it as much as you do. I always use a face mist as part of my skincare routine. However, the great thing about this one is how even and fine the mist is, as well as how moisturising the formula is.

Elf Halo Glow liquid filter £14

Ooooh another product that went wild on Tiktok, this multi-use product is really great, as well as affordable. It leaves a soft-focus finish wherever you choose to use it. Great mixed with foundation or concealer or used as a highlighter. Its makeup and skincare hybrid is great.

Kate Somerville Goats Milk Cleanser £38

This is one of the best cream cleansers out there so it’s no surprise it takes a spot on this list. It was inspired by Kate’s own experience with Goats Milk and the way it helped to heal her skin. This formula is amazing for sensitive skin, whilst still removing any impurities and leaving skin feeling nourished without feeling tight.

Sol de Janerio Bum Bum Cream £46

I know I’ve said it before. But I am gonna say it again; THE SMELL you guys! I will never not use this. Deliciousness aside, the caffeine-rich Guaraná extract helps visibly tighten the appearance of skin. Sign me up.

Fenty Gloss Bomb £14.40

Has there ever been a better gloss? Probs not. The high shine, the texture, the size of the applicator, the smell. It really is perfection in a gloss.

And just like that, my ginormous list of your fantastic faves comes to an end, much like 2022. I hope you enjoyed helping me put this together and thank you to everyone who voted. I’m glad I have readers with such good taste :)

As always, I only ever recommend products I would use myself. This most may contain affiliate links that at no additional cost to you, I may earn a small commission.

This is mostly spent on repairing the shoes Diddy keeps chewing.

Happy New Year friends!
